Year 6 embarked on an educational journey to the Battlefield Exhibition, where we were treated to a captivating presentation by Chris, a re-enactment veteran with 45 years of experience. Chris shared immersive insights into the Battle of Shrewsbury in 1403, showcasing authentic clothing, weaponry (including some rather bawdily-named daggers), and riveting stories from the battlefield. His expertise transported us back in time, igniting our curiosity and enriching our understanding of history.
The trip was a memorable and enlightening experience, leaving us with a newfound appreciation for the past.
