Junior 3 and Junior 4 pupils took part in The March Maths Challenge 2020 recently, completing a range of activities online, using the Mathletics platform, a fantastic and exciting way to build engagement in maths, using the award-winning Mathletics platform, to which the School subscribes. The competition saw  pupils compete in live, multi-player challenges plus answering self-paced adaptive maths curriculum questions, all using Mathletics. Prizes were awarded, based on the highest average of participation points.

This is a huge online maths competition, contested by  schools from across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Out of the 611 schools, (many of them large academies), from around the world that participated, St. Winefride’s ranking an amazing 32nd!

Fantastic effort by our year 5 and 6 pupils, well done! Special mention to Sam, Alexandros and Alex in J4, who were the top three scorers in our School.
