As part of out theme of ‘Africa’, this term, Junior 4 (Year 6) created papier maché masks with Mr. Keeling, based on designs found in different African cultures.

Pupils studied a variety of types of masks from Africa, looking at styles and patterns. The features on the masks were modelled using paper pulp and the masks are decorated in the kinds of earthy tones and natural materials available to people at the time.
