Our U11 footballers were back in action last week, after the Christmas break, playing in the SSCFA County Small Schools Trophy competition, for the first matches in 2020!

On a cold night at Sundorne, the team started well, winning our first game against Shrewsbury Cathedral School. Building on that win, and in form, we recorded a convincing win against Longden. Our last game saw us narrowly lose 1-0 to Prees, going down to  an unfortunate hand-ball and resulting free kick in the last minutes of the game.

Special mentions to Jacob A, our goalkeeper, who was playing up a year from U10s (conceding just once) and Alex W, who was ferocious in strike.

The U11s qualified as the second placed team, and are through to the final round of the competition, to be played on March 4th. Well done!
