Our U11 Girls Football Team were in action again this week, playing another cold and wet round of matches at Sundorne Sports Village, in the U11 Girls Small Schools Trophy.

The weather didn’t damper our in form, on fire team, who proved to be completely dominant throughout all the evening, winning all their games. This was a whole team effort – prolific goal scoring and a rock solid defence proved to be too much for our opposition teams, and we won all three games, 3-0, 6-0 and 5-0, meaning we were through as top of our group Special mention to Heidi B., who scored her first goal for the School.

This means that St. Winefride’s U11 Girls Football Team will represent our School in the SSCFA County Final, to be played in May. Fantastic effort, girls, well done!
