Junior 3 and Junior 4 pupils took part in The November Numeracy Challenge 2020 recently, completing a range of activities online, using the Mathletics platform, a fantastic and exciting way to build engagement in maths, to which the School subscribes. The competition saw pupils compete in live, multi-player challenges and answering self-paced adaptive maths curriculum questions, all using Mathletics. Prizes were awarded, based on the highest average of participation points.

This is a huge online maths competition, contested by schools from across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Out of the 674 schools, (many of them large academies), from around the world that participated, St. Winefride’s ranking an amazing 13th!!!

Fantastic effort by our year 5 and 6 pupils, well done! Special mention to Izzy, Tristan and Gabriella in J4, who were the top three scorers in our School.
