After a truly fantastic season, our Girls Football Team won the SSCFA U11 Girls Small Schools County Shield on Monday morning, at The News Saints FC ground in Oswestry. This Friday they also play in the Shrewsbury District Football League Girls Challenge Cup Final.
The girls had a surprise visit from two STFC players, Luke Hendrie and Max Lowe, a few days before the game, who chatted to the team and gave them some encouragement.
This year has seen more girls than ever showing an interest in football, with many of our girls joining the SSE Wildcats (one of the FA Girls Football Centres).
