On St. Patrick’s Day, St Winefride’s School hosted the inaugural St. Patrick’s Football Cup match. This will be an annual event played between St. Winefride’s and the Cathedral School, as two Catholic schools coming together.
The match was played in great spirits, with the Cathedral School coming out on top. Both Schools attended the presentation of the St. Patrick’s Cup in the School Hall, and all children received their commemorative medals.
Congratulations and thank you to Mr. Higgins and the girls from the Cathedral School for coming to us for the fixture, with a special thanks to one of our team, Abi, who baked a special St. Patrick’s Day cake for everyone to share after the match! Bring on next year!
