Our Year 6 class recently entered some inspirational poetry into a national competition, as part of our participation in the Premier League Primary Stars programme. Their poetry was also entered into Shrewsbury Town F.C.’s own competition, based on the same theme of resilience. You might recognise the title Try, Try Again from the poem used in the TV advert for Premier League Primary Stars.

We were very pleased to receive letters from Shrewsbury Town Football in the Community, congratulating three of our pupils on becoming finalists in the competition.

As a result, our pupils have been invited to be guests at the Shrewsbury Town v Wimbledon match on Saturday, 24th March and they will also form the ‘guard of honour’ by waving the flags as the players enter the pitch.

Pictured are our finalists; Abigail Mangham, Bethan MacDonald and Jamie Mileham. Congratulations!
