Every day, Eight Shrewsbury food hub volunteers start the day at 7.30am collecting and sorting surplus food from 20 plus supermarkets, which is then shared within the community through food shares. The surplus food otherwise would have gone to waste. 

Mr. Goody, our Headmaster, challenges our School Community to ‘live out’ and ‘act on’ our core School Values.

One of Year 6 pupils, Jayden is pictured here helping his father  to collect food from local cooperatives on his way to school, really putting into practice the St Winefride’s School’s core values of kindness, care, mutual respect and unity.
