As per yesterday, the first priority of any school must be to keep its children and staff safe. As a result of on going advice and further information received today by the School and the further deterioration of conditions due to severe flooding affecting Shropshire, and particularly the Town Centre (including access), we have taken the decision to close the School tomorrow.

Therefore, St. Winefride’s School will, unfortunately, be closed tomorrow, Wednesday 26th February, 2020.

We anticipate School opening as usual on Thursday 27th February, however we will continue to monitor the situation. If you do not hear from School by 4pm tomorrow, (Wednesday), please assume School will be open as usual on Thursday 27th February.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, however the safety of everyone in our School Community must remain forefront in any decisions made.
