As part of our ongoing commitment to well-being and safeguarding, our School invited the NSPCC Schools Service to deliver a workshop to our Year 5 and Year 6.

Kate Warner, NSPCC Schools Co-ordinator, sent us this report:

‘This week, St Winefride’s invited the NSPCC Schools Service back again after almost 2 years, to deliver their Year 5&6 ‘Speak out. Stay safe’ workshop.

A few weeks ago, Mr Goody facilitated the virtual NSPCC ‘Speak out. Stay safe’ assemblies throughout the School, and that learning was built on in this workshop. Jo and Sandra, 2 of the Shropshire NSPCC Schools Service volunteers, reported back to me that they felt welcomed by everyone at the school and that the children in Years 5&6 were a happy and lively group who seemed to enjoy the workshop. Jo and Sandra said the children participated well and gave very good input and responses during the various workshop activities. It was once again a positive experience for everyone!’
