Last week, years 5 and 6 took part in a 3 day bike safety course, run by Bikeability.

Over the course of the three days, we learnt how to stay safe cycling on roads, completed training on various manoeuvres such as: U-turns, T junctions, turning signals, over-taking parked vehicles and the ‘pass’ and ‘follow me’ positions. We also worked on getting on and off our bikes correctly.

Cycle maintenance was also an important part of the course.

All of us in Year 5 and 6 have thoroughly enjoyed what had been a both rewarding and informative experience. We rate this course 10/10!
